S.G. Carthell, MS -AABHE
Website Management
S.G Carthell is the current
Director African American Student Services & Ethnic Programs,
Director for the Marvin D. Mills Multicultural Center, and
Adjunct Faculty in the Journalism Department at
Murray State University . He is
responsible for the development and implementation of programs
and activities that are designed to enhance the academic success
and retention for multicultural students. He received his
Bachelors degree from Ball State University with a focus in
Criminal Justice & Criminology, and his Masters degree from
Miami University with a focus in Mass Communication. Prior to
arriving at Murray State S.G., served as Assistant to the Vice
President for Student Affairs for Multicultural Student
Enrichment at Miami University. He is serves as Treasurer for
the
Kentucky Association for Blacks in Higher
Education (KABHE), President of
the National Association for the Ministry of Music, a member of
Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
and Co-founder of the
African American Student Leadership Summit.
Serves as Executive Director for the National Professional
Development Network. He is President of
Carthell Communications Media Group
a multifaceted media and diversity consulting firm. He is
planning to pursue his Doctorate in Higher Education
Administration.
