Pathways to Success include traveling on roadways through history! At the 2017 Conference, the American Association of Blacks in Higher Education (AABHE)will offer a guided tour of several historic sites in North Carolina including institutions of higher education and industry venues that reflect years of progress, struggle and hope. These include but are not limited to: "Black Wall Street,” American Tobacco Company, Shaw University, Saint Augustine’s University, North Carolina Central University and Duke University. Space is limited. Reservations will open shortly. Keep checking the website for updates and instructions! The AABHE annual conference also introduces keynote presenters, research, roundtable discussions, seminar/workshops and many exciting opportunities led by experienced professionals with insight about important issues affecting the academy and its members. The American Association of Blacks in Higher Education embraces education as an amazing ongoing, innovative and transformative process. The cost for the tour is $50.

 

 

Graduate Student Case Study Competition

Overview Meeting -Thursday, March 23, 2017


The Graduate Student Case Study is a great opportunity for graduate students to put the theory they have learned in the classroom into practice. During the Case Study Meeting onThursday, March 23, all participants will receive the case and pairing graduate students from different institutions will form teams on-site, then pairs will select their time slot. Each team will have the opportunity to deliver their solution and will be asked questions following their presentations by a team of judges. The awards for the student case study will be announced during the Closing Luncheon on Saturday, March 25, 2017.

 

 

~LMI Pre-conference Session~

Open to Leadership and Mentoring Institute (LMI) Alumni only, the pre-conference session will reconnect alums with Higher Education Leaders and LMI Faculty who have successfully navigated the higher education maze. The session seeks to re-ignite your passion for higher education, re-connect with fellow LMI alums, and to re-examine your personal career path. The interactive session will build upon the guiding principles of the LMI experience.
