This research and writing program is designed specifically for individuals who are new to the tenure-track faculty ranks as well as for those seeking to retool their research and writing skills. To be held during the American Association for Higher Education (AABHE) conference, this program will be operationalized in three segments:

· Segment One: Writing for Publication

A writing instructor will engage the group through practical strategies to assist in the writing process.

· Segment Two: Meet the Editors

Several journal editors of refereed journals will offer insight into getting published in scholarly venues.

· Segment Three: Framing and Maintaining a Research Agenda

Critical elements in developing a tenure and promotion dossier.

The primary goal of this Boot-Camp is to underscore for participants the key elements necessary to be successful in the tenure and promotion process.

"Participants are encouraged to bring their laptops and articles that are in process.”

Please note: The 2017 Research & Writing Boot Camp is a separate event, it will coincide with the 2017 AABHE National Conference. All meals are included in the registration rate. You may only choose one event to attend this year.
