Welcome to AABHE!
The core values of the
American Association of Blacks in Higher Education are
grounded solidly in the legacy of the former AAHE Black Caucus
established in 1980. That legacy includes a focus on a range of
professional and leadership development activities that meet the
needs of Blacks at all levels and segments of higher education.
We remain committed to our
longstanding initiatives. They include:
Leadership and Mentoring Institute
Harold Delaney Educational Achievement Award
Graduate Student Recognition Program and Awards
Summits and Conferences on Blacks in Higher Education
International Study Tours to Africa, The Caribbean
Islands, and South America.
If Blacks are to continue to
make important contributions to an increasingly diverse world, we
must do so from
positions of knowledge, skill, and strength. To that end we look to
build on our collaboration with state and campus associations of
Blacks in higher education across the nation as work to link and
leverage resources, expertise and networks.
