2012-2015 Call for Nominations

The AABHE Board has commissioned the Nominating Committee to conduct board elections in 2011 in accordance with the Association's By-Laws. Elections are being held for five (5) Board Positions. Five individuals will be elected to serve for a period of three years: 2012-2015.

Each position begins upon being duly installed at the Membership Business Meeting that will be held during the 2012 AABHE National Conference.

The committee will receive recommendations for members who can be considered to stand for election to the board. Balloting will be done electronically. Please note the election schedule below.

September 19, 2011

Open call for nominations begins at 6:00 p.m. CST

October 7, 2011

Deadline for receiving recommendations at 11:59 p.m. CST

October 21, 2011

Electronic balloting begins at 12:01 a.m. CST. Members will receive an e-mail notice the day before balloting begins

November 14, 2011

Electronic balloting ends at 11:59 p.m. CST

November 21, 2011

Successful candidates will be notified via e-mail; Board Election Confirmation Acceptance form and the Conflict of Interest form will also be sent

November 28, 2011

Deadline for candidates to return the signed Board Election Confirmation Acceptance form and the Conflict of Interest form to the Nominations Committee Chair who will forward them to the President 

November 28, 2011

Announce winners to the membership

March 22-24, 2012

Installation of new Board members at the Annual Business Meeting


Please recommend an individual to serve as a General Board Member and include contact information for the individual. Ideally, those recommended should have the support of their institution. Additionally, please review the attached excerpt from the AABHE Board Manual Operations Manual on the Board of Directors Commitment and Duties.
